Climate change is affecting almost all the sectors of Pakistani economy particularly water resources, energy, health, biodiversity, with a major impact on agricultural productivity. This is due to changes in temperature, adverse effect on land and water resources and enhanced frequency and intensity of

natural hazards. To bolster rural incomes and strengthen food and water security, it is need of the hour to promote climate-smart and regenerative agriculture and prioritize ecosystem restoration.

NOAD raises awareness of the people on the issue of environment security during community meetings/gatherings and also launches tree plantation campaigns in collaboration with Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Department, Punjab.

Farmers are also guided to grow low chemical input and short duration crops. Farmers are also guided on the cultivation techniques that save the water, because Pakistan is a water scared country.
